Joseph Opp

Senior Vice President, Membership Services

Joseph Opp was appointed Senior Vice President of Membership Services for Hotel Representative Inc. in 1998. This department provides audits of individual hotels’ databases and global workshops, as well as marketing and operations reviews and reservations systems training for member hotels.

Bringing more than 30 years of travel industry experience to the company, Mr. Opp joined HRI in 1996 as President of DataLead Communications, Inc., the HRI subsidiary providing private label reservations services to independent hotels and small hotel companies.

He previously held the position of Vice President of Marketing Automation with Forte Hotels. During his 14-year tenure with the Forte organization, with postings both in the United Kingdom and the United States, Mr. Opp served in a number capacities which included responsibility for worldwide reservations, database and global distribution systems.

Mr. Opp’s early career included management positions with AVIS Rent-A-Car at their global reservation center and with National and Pacific Southwest Airlines.

Mr. Opp holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Finance from Fordham University in New York City.
